Come spend a day with three of our stalwart Judges and learn about what goes on in their heads when they practice the art of judging trial runs. A great opportunity for novice handlers to learn more about how trials are scored.
In the morning we will talk about what each of them expects for each element of the trial (outrun, lift, fetch, drive, pen and shed) at the various novice levels, how to manage your run to maximize your success at each element, and how to transition to the more competitive Open class. We will watch and evaluate runs from a few open handlers to help our discussion.
In the afternoon each full working participant will get a chance to run one dog in one novice class and get feedback and discussion from the judges. Find out in detail why you got 15 on that outrun!
2 one day sessions either Saturday May 6 OR Sunday May 7.
